Finance and Banking Students Gain Practical Industry Experience at HDBank Dong Nai

Bridging the gap between classroom learning and the professional banking environment is an essential step in helping students integrate academic knowledge with industry expectations. As part of its commitment to practice-oriented education, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at Lac Hong University (LHU) organized an industry field visit and experiential learning program at HDBank – Dong Nai Transaction Office Branch. The initiative provided Finance and Banking students with valuable opportunities to gain firsthand insights into banking operations and explore potential career pathways from the early stages of their university education.

On October 23, 2026, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting organized a field visit and practical learning program at HDBank – Dong Nai Transaction Office Branch, located at 56–58 Cach Mang Thang Tam Street, Tran Bien Ward, Dong Nai City. The program involved 88 Finance and Banking students, divided into two groups: 43 students from class 25NH111 participated in the morning session, while 45 students from class 25NH112 attended the afternoon session.

During the visit, students were introduced to HDBank's operations, gained exposure to an authentic professional banking environment, and interacted with representatives of the bank. A key component of the program focused on internship and employment opportunities, during which bank representatives shared practical insights and addressed students' questions concerning professional responsibilities and career development. These interactions provided students with a deeper understanding of the banking industry and the competencies required to prepare for entry into the labor market.

The field visit enabled students to establish meaningful connections between their academic knowledge of finance, banking, and business operations and its practical application in a professional setting. Direct exposure to the banking environment helped students better appreciate the relevance of their specialized knowledge while recognizing the importance of professional conduct, communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and adaptability in the finance and banking sector.

Beyond enhancing practical knowledge, the program also supported students in developing clearer academic and professional goals. Information regarding internship opportunities, recruitment practices, and workplace expectations provided a valuable foundation for students to proactively formulate personal development plans, strengthen their professional skills, and acquire essential competencies throughout their university studies.

The organization of industry field visits and experiential learning activities further demonstrates the Faculty of Finance and Accounting's commitment to integrating academic education with professional practice. Through collaboration between the university and organizations operating in the finance and banking sector, students are provided with additional opportunities to experience professional environments, broaden their industry knowledge, and progressively prepare for their future careers.

The Faculty of Finance and Accounting at Lac Hong University extends its sincere appreciation to the management and staff of HDBank – Dong Nai Transaction Office Branch for their warm hospitality, willingness to share professional knowledge and practical experience, and valuable support in facilitating the students' visit, interactions, and career exploration activities. HDBank's collaboration not only contributed to meaningful experiential learning opportunities but also strengthened university–industry partnerships in developing a professionally competent workforce for the finance and banking sector.

For the 88 students from classes 25NH111 and 25NH112, the visit to HDBank represented more than an educational activity beyond the classroom. It provided an opportunity to develop a practical understanding of the banking profession, clarify their personal and professional development goals, and take proactive steps toward preparing for their future careers.
